Take Action SAVE OUR SENIORS! Tell Congress to Stop Medicare Cuts to SNFs in Health Care Reform
We need your help TODAY! The August Congressional recess is quickly coming to an end and there are only a few days left for you to reach your Members of Congress before they return to Washington, D.C. Please join AHCA/NCAL in our SAVE OUR SENIORS grassroots campaign to educate Congress about the impact of the $32 billion cuts to skilled nursing facilities included in HR 3200, America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009. These cuts are in addition to the $12 billion worth of cuts to Medicare recently imposed by the Administration's CMS SNF PPS final rule.

The combined effect of these deep cuts puts the quality care for patients at serious risk. We estimate that cuts of this magnitude could jeopardize 50,000 jobs nationwide in 2010 alone.

Here is how you can help:

1. Send a Letter to your Senators and U.S. Representative today by clicking here or the Take Action! tab above.

2. Call your Senators and U.S. Representative today! Click here. (We've provided office phone number and phone script to assist you.)

3. Attend a town hall meeting. To view a list of town hall meetings occurring in your community, please Click Here. (Members only, requires username and password.) Note: All town halls subject to change and are updated regularly on our website.

Again, please ask your Members of Congress to stop proposals that further cut nursing home care. This is our opportunity to educate Congress on the impact cuts of this magnitude will have on patients and careproviders.
